we ate at blanc burgers tonight in mission farms - mission road just north of I435, leawood. we've eaten there before. groupon in kc had $20 for $10 a few weeks ago and we got some coupons then. it was pretty successful for the groupons and they have been serving alot since then. i've eaten the kobe beef burger and the classic. both are excellent.
they have a week day special that is a great deal. m-f 3-6pm they have $2 sliders and half priced appetizers and fries/rings.
not having tried any appetizers before we had the calamari fries. long battered calamari sticks. it is the meaty part of the calamari not the tentacles. it is served with a lime aioli. they were pretty good on the 1/2 price menu. the lime is a bit over powering. i dipped them in the chipotle sauce for the fries and they were great.
w had sliders and a basket of fries and a basket of sweet potato fries. you can get a split order regular/sweet fries. the sliders are good and cooked to taste. mine were medium rare and carlas were well done. the meat was tasty and juicy. the meat and the buns were the same size which isn't always the case for the local sliders around town.
on a friday afternoon - about 4:30 - it wasn't crowded at all. there were a few parents bringing in their kids for an early dinner.
we had 4 sliders and 3 sides. the bill was just under $18. there were three of us eating so it was a great value at $7 each with tip.
